One of the favourite Chaat, Dahi Wade always lit up the occasion. Here we are preparing Dahi Wade using Gagangiri Dahi.
Ingredients for Wade
- 500g urad dal
For sweet Dahi
- Gagangiri Dahi 500g
- 100g sugar
- Cumin Powder
For tamarind Chutney
- Dried Tamarind
Spices for taste
- Chilli Powder
- Cumin Seeds
Take 500g urad dal in a bowl.
Fill it with water. Let it soak overnight.
Grind it in a coarse paste.
We are going to use Gagangiri Dahi. Take a 500g pouch pack.
Open the pouch and pour it in another bowl.
Take 100g of sugar and grind it to powder form.
pour the powdered sugar in Dahi and mix it well.
Add a little cumin powder to Dahi.
Mix the cumin powder, powdered sugar and dahi. Keep it aside while we prepare the wade.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Make small balls of the urad dal paste and fry it.
Keep adding the balls to the oil. Make sure the oil is in medium flame.
Keep frying till its light brown. Don’t overcook it..
With help of a strainer, take the bhalle out of oil.
Now, you have to put the friend bhalle directly in water.
Now we are going to take the extra water out of the soaked bhalle.
Place the bhalle in a serving bowl.
Pour the Sweet Dahi prepared over the bhalle.
Pour some tamarind chutney over the dahi bhalle to add taste.
Add a bit of chilli powder.
Add some freshly grinded cumin.
Your Dahi Bhalle is ready. Add some fresh coriander and serve it.
